MILKES CITY, MT. ---- John Martin 'Marty" Etchemendy managed Miles City Sanitation for his father.
He was a member of the Miles City Town and Country Club, Eagles, Lion and the Montana Officials Association.
Mr. Etchemendy, 23, died Saturday after an apparent beating.
Born in Billings, MT., a son of John and Julie Etchemendy, he attended schools in Miles City, graduated from Custer County High School as an honor student and was active in football and baseball.
He graduated from Montana Tech in Butte, MT. with a degree in petroleum engineering.
On June 9, 1984, he married Colleen Hemmert in Las Vegas, NV.
Survivors include his wife, and two sons, John Martin III and Jeffrey Allen; his parents of Miles City; two sisters, JoDel Marie Mentikov of Santa Ana, CA., and Michelle Luckow of Swan Lake, MT., a brother, Michael in the University of Wyoming at Laramine; and his grandmothers Isidora Etchemendy of Miles City and Edith Reinholz of Seattle WA.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Friday in Graves Memorial Chapel.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in Sacred Heart Cathodic Church.
Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Miles City, Custer Co., MT.,
