Laura Ann "Sooky" Epperson Hise, 51 of Booneville, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2011 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born August 8, 1960 in Charleston, Arkansas to Sidney Epperson and Martha Eileen (Hinkle) Franklin.

She worked in the laundry department at Cargil in Booneville, Arkansas and was a member of the Hilltop House of Praise church near Booneville, Arkansas.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday, October 17, 2011 at the Hilltop House of Praise near Booneville, with burial in Lick Creek Cemetery near Booneville, Arkansas, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.

She is survived by her husband, James of the home, one daughter, Jessica Staton of Magazine, Arkansas; One son, Mike Hise and his wife Kim of Booneville, Arkansas; three sisters, Dorothy Joslin of Mabelvale, Arkansas, Jackie Franklin of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Loretta Epperson of Booneville, Arkansas; two brothers, Thomas Epperson and Russell Epperson both of Booneville, Arkansas; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jody Hester, Bruce Staton, Jason Franklin, James Franklin, Wesley Epperson, Josh Franklin, Joe Lee Franklin and Joe Lee Hester.

The family will visit with friends from 2 to 4:00 P.M. Sunday afternoon at Roberts Funeral Home.
