Mrs. Ida Martha Armstrong 87, of 530 Iowa Ave, Iowa City, IA, died early Sunday at her home.
Funeral services will be at 2 pm Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church. The Rev. Lowell A. Koch will officiate and burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Mrs. Armstrong was born Nov 11, 1879 in Kolberg, Germany, the daughter of Herman and Wilhelmina Stern Bogs. She had lived in Iowa City since coming to America at the age of 2. She was a member of Zion American Lutheran Church and active in its Missionary Guild and Ladies Aid Society.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Florence Cochenour of 530 Iowa Ave, a granddaughter, Mrs. Connie Keeling, also of 530 Iowa Ave, a great-granddaughter, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Greulich of 116.5 East Washington St, and, Mrs. Henrietta Shaedler of 114.5 E Washington St.
She was proceded in death by her husband Charles, five brothers and one sister. Beckman-Burtherus Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
