Marion Delbert Alexander, age 72, of Baxter Springs, Kan., passed from this life Thursday, May 6, 2010, at Freeman Hospital, Joplin, Mo., when God called another Angel home.

Marion was born Sept. 2, 1937, in Odense, Kan., to the union of Glenn and Virginia (Metzen) Alexander. Marion worked as a plumber and owned and operated his own business A&D Restoration. Marion was an avid bowler, bowling in many leagues at Baxter Bowl. He loved fishing and camping at Grand Lake and when he was at home he enjoyed working in his garden.

Marion is preceded in death by his father, Glenn Alexander; and his wife, Joyce Alexander.

He is survived by his mother, Virginia Alexander, of Chanute, Kan.; two daughters, Sonja Fiechtl and husband, Clint, of Derby, Kan., and Glenda Ellis and husband, Gary, of Baxter Springs; one brother, Larry Alexander, of Laughlin, Nev.; one sister, Patricia White, of Chanute; two grandchildren, Cheyanne Ellis and Chloe Fiechtl; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and a host of great friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, at Derfelt's Baxter Chapel. Pastor David Mitchell will officiate the services. Burial will follow in the Baxter Springs Cemetery. Family will receive friends Wednesday prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

Arrangements are under the direction of Derfelt's Baxter Chapel.
