Funeral services for Helen Mayeaux will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 30, 2008 at the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with the Rev. Jack Michalchuk officiating. Burial will follow in the Pythian Mausoleum. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mrs. Mayeaux, 64, of Bunkie, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at the Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Lenia Ardoin Nugent; one sister, Marceline Rabalais.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Richard Mayeaux of Bunkie; two sons, Gary and his wife Denise Mayeaux of Ball, and Randy Mayeaux of Bunkie; one brother, John Taft Nugent of Sulphur; two grandchildren, John and Kristen Mayeaux of Ball.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. on Saturday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie. A wake service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday.
