Rose M. Anderson
Longtime area resident Rose Mary Anderson, 66, of Longview died March 29, 2003 at the Hospice Care Center.
She was born December 23, 1936 in Ash Grove, Missouri to Paul E. and Wanda (Sewell) Claypool and lived in the Longview-Kelso area for the past 60 years. She graduated from Kelso High School in 1954.
Mrs. Anderson worked at Park Royal Medical Center in the laundry until retiring. She was active in the community, serving as a Girl Scout leader for six years, in HARP and block watch. She enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, playing slot machines at casinos and going to the Roll Away Skating Rink.
She married Don Bohna in 1955 and Leonard Anderson in 1972. He preceded her in death in 1998.
Surviving her are two sons, two daughters, two brothers, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her second husband, Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by two great grandchildren.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Steele Chapel with Pastor Ron Berry officiating. Pallbearers are R. Specht, C. Reed, M. Reinhardt, J. Ruff, J. Claypool and L. Kays. Private interment will take place at Longview Memorial Park. The viewing will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. to service time Friday at the funeral home.
