GALENA, KANSAS: Opal M. Price, age 87, 1511 Galena Ave, died at 4:20 pm, Thursday, May 26, 2005 at Galena Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Galena, KS following an illness.
Mrs. Price was born August 26, 1917 at Galena, KS. Her parents were Albert Seigal and Martha Lillie (Bosley) Williams.
She had lived in the Galena area all of her life.
Opal was married to Claude Price September 3, 1933 at Joplin, Missouri. He died December 16, 1975.
Surviving is one son, Jack Price (wife, Lea) Galena, KS; 4 daughters, Rosalee Tackett (husband, Gene) Galena, KS, Marilyn Wilder (husband, Gary) Wyandotte, OK, Norma Bro, Galena, KS, and Kay Deardorff (husband, Richard) Joplin, MO; 26 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Royce Price, and one daughter, Dorothy Shelton.
Graveside services were held Friday afternoon at Oak Hill Cemetery, Galena, KS under the direction of Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS. Rev. Joel Dorris officiated.
Pallbearers were Ed Tackett, Phil Waterman, Chad Denton, Dean Price, Arthur Price and Jason Denton.
