Edmond was second husband of Lydia Elizabeth Polk Caldwell b. 1800 d. 1864, she was a sister to the 11th President James Knox Polk. And her first marriage was to Dr Silas M Caldwell b. 1794 d. 1846.

It looks as if Edmund’s headstone has the correct months and days of his birth and death, but incorrect years. The document which Sandy uploaded to this FindAGrave page states that his YOB was 1791 (not 1789 as on his headstone), and his obituary on
http://dancyville.net/obits/richmond.htm states that his YOD was 1854 (not 1871 as on his headstone); HOWEVER, his obituary also states that he was "aged about 66 years" when he died.
