He was born Aug. 17, 1924, in Philippi, W.Va., and came to Bradenton more than 20 years ago from West Virginia. He retired as a spray painter who worked in Bradenton and Akron, Ohio.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was a life member of Palmetto VFW Post 2488. He was a former member of Moose Lodge 2117 of Palmetto.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Mary Jane; sisters Louise Booth of Pasadena, Md, Laura Stubbs of Severn, Md, and Cathy Sasser of Bradenton.
