Samuel was my 4th Great Grandfather. He was born in Kentucky and moved into Platte County, Missouri by the 1940 census, having a wife and five children. Samuel is found again in the 1850 Platte County, Missouri census with his wife Sarah and three daughters. The next twenty years he and his wife are living in Leavenworth County, Kansas. In 1870 his two grandsons are with them. These two boys are my 3rd Great Grandfather, Edmond S. Sebree's children. Their mother, Catherine, was the daughter of Samuel and Sarah Phillips. Catherine has died and for some reason the boys are living with their grandparents. Both Samuel and Sarah are not found again after the 1880 census. I know that they must be buried in the Leavenworth County, Kansas area, and a very good possibility in Little Stranger Cemetery, but, there are many graves without a headstone. I am creating this memorial in hopes that someone will make a connection.
