Daughter of William H. Hendricks Sr. and Susanna Sokinney (full-blood Cherokee, both buried at the Hendricks Cem., Cherokee Co., OK; Nancy was 1/2 Cherokee and is listed on the 1851 Old Settler Roll: Tahlequah, 58 as Nancy Chambers (1896 p. 90).

She married Henry Chambers (buried at this cem.) b. Apr 21, 1823 in GA and d. Dec 10, 1891 in Tahlequah, CN, IT, son of Maxwell Chambers and Elsie Sanders.

They had the following children: (1) Ann Eliza b. 2 Apr 1846 d. 05 Jul 1876 (buried at this cem.); (2) Mary A. (buried at this cem.) b. 17 May 1848 in Claremore, CN, IT d. 13 Apr 1877 who married John Ross Hicks; (3) Vann Sanders Chambers Sr. b. 18 Feb 1850, Claremore, CN, IT d. 06 Feb 1934 in Claremore, Rogers Co., OK who married Jennie Diana McCoy (both buried at this cem.); (4) Elizabeth Ann (buried at this cem.) b. 29 Feb 1852 d. 16 Oct 1901 who married (1) Lippman Rosenthal (buried at this cem.) & (2) Charles J. Lamb.
