Robert Lee Duerling, 53, of Westminster, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House in Westminster.

Born Oct. 21, 1958, in Woodlawn, he was the son of the late James Robert and Ruby Lee Boughan Duerling. He was the husband of Karen Marie Lample Duerling, his wife of 32 years.

He was a computer technician for McCormick and Company. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children Lauren Duerling, of Linthicum, and Bradley Duerling, of Westminster; brother Scott Duerling and wife Karin, of Red Lion, Pa.; sister-in-law Paula Gardner and husband Rodger, of Hampstead; niece Erica Shain, her husband Louis and their three children, all of Florida; and nephew Adam Gardner and wife Inga, of Australia.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 65 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
