OBITUARY :
MARY R. MOWERS, 83, a resident of Providence Place, Chambersburg, formerly of Shippensburg, died Thursday, February 16, 2012 in the home.

Born March 21, 1928 in Newville, PA, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Watson Hollenbaugh.

Mary retired from ITT Domestic Pump in Shippensburg with over 25 years of service and was a graduate of the former Newville High School.

She was a life member of the Shippensburg First Church of God, and a member of the Women's Ministries, and the Kings, Sons, and Daughters Sunday School Class. Mary was a Sunday school teacher for over 30 years.

She is survived by two sons, Brady L. Mowers and his wife Molly of Fayetteville, and Alan W. Mowers and his wife Cindy of Shippensburg, four grandchildren, Brian, Mike, Tia, and Alli Mowers, five great grandchildren, Andrea, Megan, Conner, Mason, and Abby Mowers, two sisters, Bertha Shannon, and Mabel Jumper both of Carlisle.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn L. Mowers who died December 30, 1995. Two brothers and two sisters are also deceased.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2012 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg at 10 a.m. with The Rev. W. Stanley Darrah officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

A viewing will be held Monday evening from 7-9 p.m. in the funeral home.
