Survivors include four daughters, Frances Seay, Sarah Lancaster, Catherine Tinsley and Peggy Lansford; a son, Rufus Edley Martin, Jr.; a sister, Catherine White; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, October 5, 1990 at Mountain View Baptist Church by the Revs. Phil Welchel and Ray Caldwell. Burial was in the church cemetery.
