Mrs. Minerva Cobb Durham, 88, of 303 Baughman Avenue, widow of Milton J. Durham, died at 10:23 p.m., Tuesday, at her residence.
She was a Boyle County native, born February 1, 1886, and was a daughter of the late Richard and Tabitha Phelps Cobb, and was a graduate of the Caldwell College for Young Ladies. She had lived here all her life and was a member of First Christian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Dolly D. Park of Danville; a son, the Rev. James Wesley Durham of Benton; a brother, Richard Cobb, Jr., of Richmond; a sister, Mrs. John M. Park of Richmond; five grandchildren including Mrs. Martha Lamb of Danville, and nine great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Andy Taylor with interment in Bellevue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m., Thursday.
