She was born August 2, 1910 in Coal City, IN to John and Rosa Harris Kieffaber.
She was a seamstress for Angwell Curtain Factory and later worked in maintenance and housekeeping for Indiana State University.
Mabel enjoyed crocheting, quilting and cross stitching, having received Reserve Grand Champion in cross stitch at the Clay County 4-H Fair at the age of 86.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Edna Fulk and 3 brothers, Fred Kieffaber, Emery Kieffaber and Albert Kieffaber.
Survivors include a son, Robert Renner and wife Darla of Kentucky; a daughter, Betty Hassler and husband Gib of Brazil; Grandchildren Mark Hassler and wife Sally of Brazil, Scott Renner and wife Kris of Cloverdale, Steve Renner and wife Vicki of Greenwood and Rhonda Davis and husband Don of Chicago, IL; Great grandchildren, Trevor Hassler, Trace Hassler, Skyla Renner, Justin Renner, Haley Renner, Caleb Renner, Jared Renner, Jack Davis, Tyler Davis and Wade Davis and many nieces and nephews and a large extended family.
Funeral Information
Services will be at 2 PM, Wednesday, March 26, 2008 in the Lawson-Miller Chapel, 1702 East National Avenue. Burial will be in the Clearview Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
