Glina Sherin Deel, age 59 of Rose Ridge, left us to be with the Lord this 15th day of October, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted member of the Clinchco Pentecostal Church and member of Clinchco Gospel Singers. Sherin was a daughter of Elsie Salyers of Clinchco and the late Kellis Deel and step-daughter of Don Salyers. She was preceded in death by a sister, Delores (Ky) Dunklaun

She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Thomas Deel of Clintwood. She has three children, Jeffery (Heather) Deel of Winchester, KY, Jennifer (Mike) Cumbo of Clintwood, and Tommy (Tasha) Deel of Whitewood, VA, five grandchildren, Justin Meade, Roselyn Cumbo, Hunter Deel, Raina Cumbo, and Ian Deel, loving brother and sisters, Steve (Tammy Hamilton) Deel of Clinchco, Carolyn (Jr) Beard of Clinchco, Sandy (Gleason) Austin of Clintwood, and Robin (Todd) Andrepoint of FL, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Haysi Funeral Home with Darrell Milgrim and Palmer Leftwich officiating. Burial will follow in the Parrot Deel Cemetery, Haysi, VA. Pallbearers will be Mike Cumbo, Gleason Austin, Tony Deel Jr, David Deel, J.R. Beard, Ron Ratliff, and Justin Meade. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Deel, Ray Austin, Tim Powers, Hunter Deel, and Charles Horne. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Monday, October 17 at the funeral home where an evening service will be held at 7:00 p.m. A special thanks to Dr. Forrest Swan and his staff and employees of Johnston Memorial Cancer Center.
