SWANTON — Dorsey Franklin Fazenbaker Sr., 81, of 19027 Maryland Highway, Swanton, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.

Born Dec. 14, 1930, in Bloomington, he was the son of the late James W. and Erma Marie (Yoder) Fazenbaker. A brother, James Fazenbaker, also preceded him in death.

Mr. Fazenbaker was a 1948 graduate of Bruce High School. He was a United States Air Force veteran, having served during the Korean War. He retired from Bethlehem Steel, Baltimore. Dorsey was a member of Bloomington United Methodist Church, a member of Victory Post 155 American Legion, a member of the Folly Run Gun Club, a member of the National Rifle Association, and a member of the Disabled American Veterans.

He leaves behind his wife, Norma Jean (Walker) Fazenbaker; two sons, Dorsey F. Fazenbaker Jr. and wife Diane, of New Jersey and Timmy Ray Fazenbaker and wife Janice, of New Jersey; and seven grandchildren, Sherri Callahan, Brec Fazenbaker, Matthew Fazenbaker, Taylor Fazenbaker, Stephanie Fazenbaker, Timothy Fazenbaker and Jordan Fazenbaker. He is also survived by a great-grandson, Cole Callahan.

The family will receive friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Gary Rankin officiating.

Interment will be in Bloomington Cemetery, Bloomington, with military honors accorded at graveside.
