Born May 8, 1941, in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late James Brank and Jessie Pearl (Johnson) Crowe.
Mr. Crowe was a U. S. Navy veteran, a member of Spartanburg First Baptist Church, an avid golfer and member of The Creek Golf Course, devoted "Gamecock fan", and formerly employed by Community Cash.
Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Carolyn Gowan Crowe; son, Rodney Crowe and wife Annette of Charleston; daughters, Gwen Gregory and Ron of Moore and Sandi Garland and husband Tony of Seneca; grandchildren, Jessica Wallington and husband Chad, Chris Crowe, Haley Crowe, Mackenzie Garland, Erin Garland, and Dillon Gregory; great-grandchildren, Jamison, Kendall, Jaiden, and McKinley; brothers, Buzzy Crowe of Spartanburg, Pete Crowe, Ricky Crowe, and Sammy Crowe, all of Woodruff.
He was predeceased by a sister, Sylvia Crowe Owens.
Visitation was 7:00-9:00 PM, Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel.
Funeral services were conducted 1:00 PM, Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, by the Rev. Sal Barone.
Burial with military rites by the SC State Guard Honors Team followed in Sunset Memorial Park.
Honorary escort was members of The Creek Golf Course.
