Son of
Leo A. Morgan, Sr & Irene McCauley
Husband of Donna Jean Scanlon m. 1952

Published in St. Louis Post-Dispatch from 23 APR to 24 APR 2012: Morgan, Edward J. 81, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, April 21, 2012. Beloved husband of the late Donna J. Morgan (nee Scanlon); loving son of the late Leo A. and Irene Morgan (nee McCauley); loving father of Sally (Joseph) Gannon (San Diego, CA), Thomas Morgan, Robert (Patricia) Morgan, William (Alison) Morgan (San Francisco, CA), John Morgan, Susan (Stacy) Yedlin; dearest grandfather of Nicholas Gannon, Caitlin Gannon, Thomas Morgan, Shaun Morgan, Derek Morgan, Kyle Morgan, Cameron Morgan, Courtney Morgan, Taylor Morgan, Ryanne Morgan; dearest step grand father of Chad Hawblitzel, Dawn Hawblitzel, Alexis Yedlin, Kylie Cathcart; dearest step-great grandfather of MaKena Norris; dearest brother of the late Leo Morgan and Margaret Flerlage, and Dorothy Hannon; brother-inlaw, uncle, great uncle, cousin, friend, confidant and inspiration to many. And a special, loving brother-in-law and father-figure to Ruth Flanagan. Anyone who knew Edward became quickly acquainted with the pearls of profound, pithy wisdom he humbly shared. One of his favorites perhaps best mirrors the essence of this man among men, who loved life, people and all of God's creations without restraint: It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice. Most significantly, these Edisms have served to become family axioms, embraced by Edward's children and grandchildren as guideposts by which to navigate life. Our most grateful thanks to the wonderful staff at the de Greeff Hospice House for their loving and devoted care. Services: A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date. Edward donated his body to St. Louis University Medical School to further medical research and improve the lives of those he leaves behind. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Edward's memory may be made to: C.H.A.M.P Assistant Dogs, Inc., 4910 Parker Road, Florissant, MO 63033 or the de Greeff Hospice House, St. Anthony's Charitable Foundation, Suite 150, MOB-A, 10010 Kennerly Road, St. Louis, MO 63128. Services provided by Kutis Funeral Home. As Ed continues his journey and rejoins his Irish Angel, Donna, we celebrate his life, comforted in knowing that his spirit forever resides in all those whose lives he touched.
