She is survived by her son, Sam H. Andrews, Jr., daughter-in-law, Jackie and granddaughter, Sarah Andrews all of Durham. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a very special niece, Mary Collins, who lived with her for the past 20 years and was a gentle and loving caregiver.
Services will be held at Walker's Funeral Home in Hillsborough on Monday,
February 21, 2011 at 2 p.m. and will be conducted by the Reverend Julia Alliger. Burial will be at Hillsborough Town Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dave Andrews, Billy Adcock, Jimmy Miller, Leroy Collins, Tim Hopson and Kenneth Phillips. The family will receive family and friends at Walker's Funeral Home 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service.
The family is grateful to Dr. Todd Shapley-Quinn of Hillsborough Family Practice for his years of compassionate care. We would also like to recognize and thank the exceptionally caring professionals in Unit 7200 at Duke Medical Center.
