Her mother divorced her father on grounds of desertion in 1844 in Butler County, Ohio. Her mother Mary married Elijah Danforth a month later-he might have adopted her but he was not her birth father. No idea at this time to where Thomas Gullett disappeared. Mary married John Stuart Luker 13 September 1855 in Bartholomew Co., Indiana He is buried at City Cemetery in Columbus, Indiana without a headstone. They had three children-Charles H., Alice, and Edward E. Luker.
