Robert Charles Rodgers Was the ninth born child of Will A & Roberta Bertrand Rodgers. He was born at home in Melton Township, Jefferson County Arkansas 2;15 AM Jnue 9, 1925. He grew up on the farm and did the many chores and work associated with farm life. Attended and graduated from the Star City high School. He was the first boy in the family to graduate high school. He Joined the Shell chapel Church at age 13 and began leading the singing in church which he continued doing for over 60 years. He was drafted into the army in June 1944 and served in the infantry in France and Germany. He was wounded in Germany March 19 1945. He was discharged from the army in 1946 and began a career in accounting for 40 years with Arkansas Power & Light, now Entergy Arkansas.
He Married Mildred Juanita Woodfield Feb 11, 1950 and to this union was born one son, Robert C Rodgers Jr. Mildred preceded him in death May 26, 2010. He had a long and prosperous life.
