Born Sept. 6, 1919, in Newburg, he was a son of the late Howard O. and Ethel Bowman Brandt.
The owner of the Lee Brandt Orchards in Upper Mifflin Township, he was a member of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, where he was a choir member for 33 years, and was a member of Knouse Foods Corp., Mifflin Athletic Association, Camp Knat and the Farm Bureau Association.
Survivors include his wife, Verneda Cohick Brandt; three daughters, Judy Deihl of Carlisle, Carol Ellerman of Newville and Cynthia Workman of Mt. Holly Springs; two sons, Gerald Brandt of Carlisle and Gary Brandt of Boiling Springs; two brothers, Richard Brandt of Newville and William Brandt of Newburg; one sister, Janet Abram of Newville; five grandchildren; one stepgrandchild, six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Jay, and two sisters, Carolyn Hendershott and Josephine Nelson.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at his church with the Rev. Iva O'Brien and the Rev. Alex Quigley officiating. Burial will follow in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle.
