Matthew David Hosier, 29, of Anderson, passed away on May 26, 2012, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.

Matthew was born on May 26, 1983, to David and Sheila Hosier in Anderson.

He worked at Aspen Outdoor Designs Inc. in Noblesville. He loved landscaping and had dreams of running his own business.

He enjoyed playing with his kids, pool, video games, singing, basketball, fishing, hunting, movies, girls, drawing and being with his friends and family.

Matthew is survived by his mother, Sheila (Ricki) Blackford; father, David Hosier; grandparents, James Muse and Joyce Tuxhorn; children, Areonna, Matson and Matius Hosier; four sisters, Laurie (Charles) Gardner, Christina (Mark Hampton) Malcolm, Emily Hosier, and Jessica (David Trueblood) Hosier; brothers, Phillip (Shyennee) Smith, Jason (Robyn) Blackford and Carl Blackford; nieces, Shauntel Paige, Dannii Malcolm, Liliana Trueblood, Olivia Gardner, Jillian Blackford, and Celeste Smith; nephews, David Trueblood, Noah Trueblood, Bowen Hosier, Quincy Smith, and AJ and Tyler Blackford; aunts and uncles, Frank Sheive, Steve Hosier, Mark Hosier, Saralu Hosier, Mary Jane Muse, Shirley King and Donnie Edwards, Dennis and Debbie Muse, and Cindy and Rod McDole; special cousin, Rob King; "The Originals," Shane Butts, Nick Thomas, Zach Sills and Craig Jackson; special friends, Ciera Mathews, Jill Goodman, Jessica Ricci and Karen Greene; along with several cousins and close friends.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Dorothy L. Muse, Frances J. Hosier, William Dale Hosier and Gene Tuxhorn; uncles, David and Duane Muse; great-aunt, Athalie Williams; and cousin, Robert Carroll.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home, Frankton.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home, Frankton, with Pastor Jeff Blakenship officiating.

Burial will take place in the K of P & I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Frankton.
