Darlene Server was the daughter of Mary Thelma Austin Server and Philip Server.

Darlene and her Mother Thelma were victims of a murder suicide.
On April 17, 1930, Darlene's father, Philip, pleaded with his estranged wife, Thelma, to bring "the baby" to his apartment for a visit.
Against the wishes of Thelmas' Mother and sister, Ruth Austin, she went to see Philip.

Later that day, Ruth and her mother were informed of the tragedy that unfolded in that apartment.
Philip took the life of his wife and daughter, and then turned the gun on himself.

Mother and daughter are buried together in Lehi, Utah.

Philip was returned to his hometown in Big Horn, Montana where he was buried by his sister, Marie.

Darlene was my grandmother Ruth's neice.
