CAVANAUGH, Robert A., age 88 of Comins, Michigan, formerly of Oxford, died peacefully at home surrounded by his wife and children on July 1, 2012. He was born on December 17, 1923 in Highland Park and raised in northern Canada by his grandparents after the death of his parents. He is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy of 41 years and his brother Jack. He leaves behind his wife Elizabeth (White) of 22 years, 5 children, Nancy (Bill) Oller, Sharon (Richard) Detkowski, Dan (Nancy), Terry (Kris), Tim and 2 step-children, Brenda (Wayne) Cummings and Greg (Carole) White. He will be missed by his 17 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Bob worked for Denton Construction, Torrence Oil Company and retired from Marathon Oil Company. He enjoyed flying, reading, photography, having tidbits and coffee with friends, but most of all spending time with his family. He was respected by all and will be greatly missed by all who love him.

Funeral from Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors, 39 W. Burdick, Oxford, Friday, July 6, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family may visit at the funeral home Thursday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment Ridgelawn Cemetery, Oxford, MI
