Rose Christopher, 8, of 273 Efner Street died in Buffalo General Hospital on August 3 from the mysterious bullet wound she suffered Saturday night July 27 while playing on a farm in Brant, NY. The little girl and her mother, Mrs. Carmela Christopher, had been picking raspberries on the farm. Suddenly the mother found Rose crumpled on the ground with a small-caliber bullet wound in her head. State police tried to find out who fired the shot and why in a futile attempt. Mrs. Christopher said there was no reason for anyone to shoot the child.
