Eugene Daniel, 95, died Sunday, September 10, at Mt. Manor Nursing Home in Prestonsburg. Born January 20, 1883, in Johnson County, he was the son of David J. and Elizabeth Lyon Daniel. Mr. Daniel was a resident of Paintsville, a retired agent for C & O Railroad and a member of the Mayo United Methodist Church. Preceding him in death were 2 wives, Anna Preston Daniel and Daisey Ray Daniel. Surviving are a son, Paris Daniel of Cincinnati, OH; 3 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren, one step granddaughter and a niece, Mrs. Escom Chandler of Paintsville. Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 12, in the Paintsville Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Glenn officiating. Burial was in Mayo Cemetery at Paintsville with Paintsville Funeral Home handling arrangements.
