Margaret M. Burris, 92, of Marseilles, passed away Wednesday August 22, 2012 at Pleasant View Luther Home in Ottawa.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles with Reverend David Ufkes of the Immanuel Lutheran Church officiating. There will be no visitation.
She was born February 26, 1921 in Ottawa to Oscar and Gertrude Johnson. In 1950 she married Joffre Burris of Streator who preceded her in death in 1996.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Marseilles. She worked at the Seneca Shipyard during WWII and then at E. I. DuPont in Seneca.
She is survived by two sons, Steve of Marseilles and Dave of Dallas, TX; two granddaughters, Ashley Medler and Liz Johnson; four great granddaughters, Gabi, Mikayla, Chloe and Taylor.
She was preceded in death her husband, two brothers, Arthur and Orville Johnson; one sister, Una Johnson.
Memorials may be directed to the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Marseilles.
