Bill Ed Williams, 23, Flatwoods, was fatally injured last night after apparently losing control of his car on White Oak Road near Flatwoods, hitting a culvert and traveling 220 feet from the road.

Ray Hensley, Flatwoods, a passenger in the car, was treated and released from King's Daughters' Hospital. The accident occurred about 09:20 p.m.



Mr. Williams was born May 31, 1949, in Flatwoods, a son of Virgil and Marie Douglas Williams. He was an employee of Kentucky Electric Steel and a member of United Steelworkers of America.



Survivors include five brothers, James Alvin, Dennis Wayne, Phillip Ray, and Ted Erwin Williams, all of White Oak, and Robert Lee Williams of Flatwoods; two sisters, Mrs. Delores Flocker of Flatwoods and Mrs. Sharon Kemper of Westwood; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Bessie Williams of Short Hollow, and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Gertie Douglas of Ky. 5.



Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Pentecostal Holiness Tabernacle by the Rev. Bennie Grizzle. Burial will be in the Caroline Cemetery.



The body has been taken to Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods, where friends may call after 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
