He was born January 19, 1909 in Boering, Germany the son of William and Alma Fehlberg Godemann and received his education in the Trenton Falls schools.
In 1936 Paul was married to Mildred L. Budlong, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, in Utica. She died in 1973.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Charles Perry, of Syracuse; one son and daughter-in- law, Paul W. and Mary Ella Godemann, of Otter Lake; six sisters, Mrs. Fred (Dorothy) Stickles, of New Hartford, Mrs. Olga Hinchey, Mrs. Sally Morris, both of Colorado Springs, CO, Mrs. Steven (Lillian) Pezz, of Utica, Mrs. Eleanor Boch, Washington, MO, Mrs. Winifred Thomas, of Lompac, CA; two brothers, William Godemann, of Munnsville, Edward Godemann, of New Hartford; five grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Paul was predeceased by four brothers, Fred, Frank, Herbert and Ralph.
