I do know that I was, and still am, profoundly affected by the death of my sister, Rita Winter, my mother Ann Loughran, and my father, George Loughran, which all happened in less than the past four years: Starting in 2004 with the death of Rita. I live with my husband, Bruce, in Vermont, and our three cats. Death has been a part of my life for four years. I've come to know death very well.
