Bio
I got interested in family tree research in 1997 at a Carty family reunion in Alberta, Canada. It was a smallish turnout, only about 400 people.. I have always had difficulty making sense of all the names and faces encountered at the reunions, who is whose child, etc. etc. On the way home from the reunion I decided to do something about it. I've been working on the tree ever since, and have found not only do I really enjoy putting pictures to faces and faces to pictures in my immediate family, I really enjoy exploring the ancestral tree too!
I live in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada. Since I have found Find A Grave to be so incredibly useful in my own tree research I have created memorials for Grey Mountain Cemetery, Whitehorse, Yukon and Pioneer Cemetery, Whitehorse, Yukon as a way to contribute. Only Grey Mountain Cemetery is active, and I will happily take a picture for anyone for this cemetery in the future. I am very interested in transferring management to family members for memorials that are not my family as well.
Often when I take pictures of gravestones I will have to resize the file to meet the maximum allowed on Find A Grave. There are also times where I will take multiple photos, for context or whatever, but only post one. If a photo I've posted is of your relative and you want them please feel free to contact me by email and I'll give you original-size and any additional photos.
