It was through my Grandmother, Nellie May Ruggles, that I learned about some of her ancestors. My mother was given a notebook containing the names of her Father, Leonard "Pug" Lawrence Owens', ancestors on his mother's Howe line. His mother being Tincy Loretta Howe, daughter of Daniel Baker Howe and Eliza Ann Demerest.

Over the years I have wanted to know more about them and with DNA testings taking off as they have, several family members have climbed on the DNA train, throwing us into the world of Genetic Genealogy. I am learning so much about my Ancestors, where they came from and hard ships they went through for me to be here today, creating their memorials.
