The Friends of Mountain View Cemetery was established to preserve and promote our historic cemetery. The first burial in the oldest section of the cemetery was conducted on January 2, 1848. The "Old Cemetery" and Masonic and I. O. O. F. sections hold the graves of many of the pioneers of the Oregon Territory and their families.

Our goal is to share the stories of these early residents and assist those searching for family genealogy by maintaining accurate records through our website and Find A Grave.
