I have just recently started searching my family roots. I suppose this is something I should have started many years ago when my parents and grandparents were still here to ask all the important questions.

Most of my family is from the Greenbrier and Logan Counties in West Virginia. I've had a good amount of success with the Smith side (imagine that). Struggling a bit with finding my maternal ancestors, specifically the Palmer (Parmer) branch.

I am a grandmother and would like very much to give my children and grandchildren some knowledge as to where they came from.

So far I have discovered ancestors from England, Italy, Switzerland, Sweden, Holland, Scotland, Ireland and Native American Indian.
