I transcribe and photograph cemeteries/grave sites because I know there is someone out there who can't make the trip or who doesn't really know where their loved ones resting place may be. By Preserving Our Past, We Prepare For The Future! That one transcription or photo CAN make a difference!

I strongly believe everyone should have some small way to honor them and say "I existed", I like to connect them to their loved ones. Hate seeing a lone grave without some loved one connected to them. I love research and history. If you have questions about any memorials I manage please let me know. I have a soft spot for children and our military especially our fallen heroes.

I have loved cemeteries since I was a young child, fascinated by old headstones. I remember being taught not to walk on graves. My main interest is Nansemond & Gates counties where my Rountree, Turner, Pope & Jones families lived. Grew up with family cemetery in our great Aunt's front yard, I guess that is why I love the little family plots in out of the way places.

I'm happy to transfer memorials no matter your relationship to the memorial. Please use the "Suggest Other Correction" feature to request transfers. I prefer families be involved in there own history. I accept memorials for my family members. Just because I sent suggestions does not mean I know the person, I just did some research to connect them with their family.

P.S. I would like to thank everyone that transferred relatives to my care, I do appreciate the ones that do not make you practically beg. If I have your relatives please let me know. I actually love sending memorials to their family. The contributors that delete the memorial when a transfer is requested should be ashamed & deleted from Findagrave. Please quit doing that, it is just wrong.
