I've been a genealogy geek since the death of my grandmother, Harriet Taber Miller Johnston, who passed away in 1980. I inherited two of her old trunks filled with old photographs, journals and many handwritten lists of family members birthdays, anniversaries and deaths dates.

Forty three years later all of my grandmother's information has been entered into Wikitree profiles and cross referenced with Find a Grave and Familysearch.

It's been a wonderful journey continuing as I visit their graves in person.

I have enjoyed my time here on FindAGrave, in conjunction with both Wikitree and Familysearch. I don't maintain many profiles here but have made over 5,300 edits linking children with parents and grandparents, updating dates of birth and death. What I have done thus far will help those who come searching in the future to find their ancestors easier with more complete information.

I am very easy to get along with and have no problem transferring profiles unless I am related to the individual.

But, myself and countless other FindAGrave managers spend hours and hours researching the individuals we represent, photographing the grave, posting vital records and obituaries when available. We also connect parents, children and siblings to these profiles.

When asking if a profile can be transferred, please remember to thank the individual for all the work they put into the profile so you, as the new manager, have up to date information about your loved one.
