THE STORY TELLERS
We are the chosen. In each family, there is one who seems called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow, they know and approve.
Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts, but instead, breathing life into all who have gone before. We are the story tellers of the tribe.

***UPDATE: 12/18/2023 -
I apologize for the delays in edits and such. I recently took on a full time job on top of owning my own business, being a wife and mom.
Life has been a little crazy lately (okay, a lot crazy) and I haven't had time to fully sit down and breathe or grieve for that matter.
Please understand that I will accept edits and still research them and make any edits as necessary. Mistakes happen to us all! So I double and triple check every single edit.
Please note, edit approvals still may take up to 21 days for me to accept or they may auto accept but I go back through them.

Hi, I'm Jessica! I'm a mother, wife, and business owner. I also recently started a new full-time job with a local small business as an Administrative Assistant.
I live a pretty busy life, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. My husband Michael also uses my account to search for his family and friends. He may request family members be transferred to this account for him to maintain.
My husband and I married in October 2023. My maiden name is 'Torie'.

In my spare time, I enjoy researching my family history and helping others find history about their own families. I started working on my family trees when I was about 13 years old. A Paternal Aunt did a ton of work before I started, but I did my own trees without her help. That is until I hit road blocks and she was able to help me. Now at 33 years old (July 2023), I'm even more addicted to finding information about our cemeteries, the graves, stories and headstones and giving those who no longer have a voice, a voice.

I've also been attempting to find all the graves for my family, my in laws (Michael Coleman's family), and extended family. Thank you all for your help in keeping places updated and pictures. I will do my best to keep the ones I know and can edit, updated as well. Any edits suggested will also be researched before accepting. If I can't find the information, I will request documentation on those edits. If it's easier, you can just send them to me when you suggest edits.

I research and research more before editing memorials, giving the best and most accurate information. Suggested edits to memorials I managed can take up to 2 weeks for me to accept or decline. I research them all before this to ensure information is accurate.

If we are requesting a memorial transfer, it will always a family member, even distant ones. Occasionally we may ask for a transfer in friends who we've known for a long time and who are essentially family. (I.E. a friend who I've known since infanthood who grew up together with me for 33 years before they passed away tragically). Thank you for understanding. :)

If you'd like a memorial to be transferred to you, please use the "SUGGEST OTHER CORRECTION" on their memorial. Please include YOUR ID in the message as well as how they are connected to you. I don't follow FG guidelines to a T. My friends are essentially my family and as such, I like to maintain their memorials if possible. If you have a friend you'd like transferred, feel free to ask. If they aren't a relation to me and it's not a friend I'm maintaining for their family members, I'm more then likely willing to transfer.

Please feel free to transfer memorials to me any time if you don't want them or are at a road block on finding information. I'm not here to gather "the most amount of memorials", I'm simply here to gather the information for our future generations to have. I pray one day my son has the same dream of keeping information on this website up to date and helping other families.

Feel free to message me and ask questions anytime. I check my messages about once a week, so please try messaging me through FG first before my email. My email tends to send legit emails from FG to my spam box.

Thank you!
~Jessica
