Crown Without the Conflict

The Mormon Prophet Joseph Smith revealed the sublime doctrine of the eternal blessings of children who die before the age of accountability (before they totally understand right and wrong). He stated: "The Lord takes many away, even in infancy, that they may escape the envy of man, and the sorrows and evils of this present world; they were too pure, too lovely, to live on earth" (History of the [L.D.S.] Church, Vol. 4, pp. 553–54). The Prophet Joseph also said: "All children who die before they arrive at the years of accountability are saved in the celestial kingdom of heaven" (L.D.S.
