Mabel B FRANCIS, 88, who resided with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James R. Myers at 121 E. Market St., Mount Union, died at 7:30 a.m., Monday, July 9, 2001, at her home. She had been in failing health.Born Sept. 5, 1912, in Mount Union, she was the daughter of the late James Albert and Nora (O’Donnell) Myers. She married Samuel Francis July 25, 1945. He preceded her in death Feb. 19, 1961.Along with her son, she is survived by two stepchildren, Robert Francis of Farmington, Maine, and Omagene Rapolti of Pittsburgh. Nora (Gill) Moore of Mount Union was also reared in the home. There are two grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and sevengreat-great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.Mrs. Francis was a member of the St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, Mount Union.She had worked for 50 years, first at L. Greif Brothers Manufacturing in Mount Union and then at Genesco Corp., also in Mount Union. She retired in 1973.A funeral Mass will beheld at 10 am. Friday, July 13, at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, Mount Union, with the Rev. Elwood Figurelle officiating.
