Cuckoo Passage Cemetery is named for a trench which ran from north-east to south-west beside the site of the cemetery and was begun by a divisional burial officer in April, 1917, and closed in May. Most of the interments are for soldiers from the 17th and 18th Manchesters who were killed on April 23, 1917.
The cemetery contains 54 First World War burials, one of which is unidentified.
