The Lee Family Cemetery holds the settlers of Rev. Edmund and 1st wife Electra Arcott Lee. (She was the first teacher in Bradenton and started a school). The present day Electra Lee Middle School is named after her. Others buried there are Sarah Lee Vanderipe, biological daughter of Edmund and Electa; Mary Guerrero, the adopted daughter of Electra and Edmund, who died at 6 months old due to disease; Addie Frierson Lee, Edmund's second wife who died at age 36 leaving three children in Edmund's care; and Elizabeth O'Dell Lee, Edmund's third wife, who in died in 1893. The cemetery can only be entered into through the backyard of this address. According to historical records, the cemetery was established in the 1870s with a total of six family members buried there. The original Lee homestead had been adjacent to the cemetery.
