Mrs. Charles R. Marburger, 810 Mechanic, died at her home Sunday evening at 8:15 o'clock.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the Roberts-Blue chapel, conducted by the Rev. LeRoy Hay, pastor of the First Christian church. Burial will be in Maplewood cemetery.
Rose Herzig, daughter of the late Frederick and Rose Herzig, was born November 16, 1867 in Roggwyle, Switzerland. She came with her family to Emporia in 1886, and she married Charles R. Marburger here April 2, 1889. Mr. Marburger died in February, 1940. She is survived by three sons, Charles M. Marburger, Casper, Wyo.; John H., Lyons and William H., of Eureka; two daughter, Mrs. Fred Kappner, Glen Ellen, Calif.; Mrs. Fred Timmerman, 810 Mechanic, Emporia; one sister, Mrs. C.A. Juengling, 216 South Congress, Emporia; five granddaughters and eight grandsons, and 13 great grandchildren. She was a member of the Lutheran church.

The Marburger Services
Funeral services for Mrs. Rose Marberger. 810 Mechanic, who died at her home Sunday, were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Roberts-Blue chapel. The Rev. LeRoy Hay, pastor of the First Christian church, conduced the services. T.C. Owen sang, accompanied by Mrs. Robert Plummer. Pallbearers were Roy Stolfus, Roy Carpenter, Harry Montgomery, Herschal Collinge, George Speakman and Roy Mast. Burial in Maplewood cemetery.
Attending from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Marburger, Eureka; Charles H. Marburger, Casper, Wyo.; Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Marburger, Lyons; Mr. and Mrs. Grant C. Marburger, Kansas City, Mo.; I.C. Juengling, Wichita.
