Anna Maria Truxtun was the daughter of American Revolutionary War navy man, Commodore Thomas Truxton and Mary Fundran Von Drieull.

She married Army surgeon Dr. Thomas Henderson, who predeceased her in 1854.

Obits: On the 19th of October, in Staunton, Va., at the residence of her son-in-law, Commander T. T. Craven, U.S. Navy, Mrs. ANNA MARIA HENDERSON, wife of the late Dr. Thomas Henderson, U.S. Army, and daughter of Commodore Thomas Truxton, aged 65. … her remains to Lexington, and laid them in compliance with her own request, beside her husband.
