John Henry Hershberger, 89, a retired carpenter, died at 6 a. m. today at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. J. Hershberger, Walnut Creek. He was a member of the Walnut Creek Mennonite church. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. A. F. Gardner, Sugarcreek, Mrs. Eli J. Weaver, Millersburg Route 5, Miss Callie Hershberger and Mrs. W. J. Hershberger, Walnut Creek, and Mrs. Ira J. Sommers, Louisville, 0.; two sons, D. M. Hershberger, Alliance, and W. R. Hershberger, Boardman, O.; one sister, Mrs. Mary Christner, Kent; 31 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and three great-greatgrandchildren. His wife, seven brothers and three sisters are deceased. Services will be conducted at 2 p. m. Tuesday at the Walnut Creek Mennonite church with Rev. Paul R. Miller in charge. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends will be received at the Everhart-Hattery funeral home in Shanesville after 7 p. m. Sunday.
