Christner, Mary Elizabeth, daughter of Abraham and Catherine (Mast) Hershberger, was born near Walnut Creek, Ohio, May 31, 1876; died at the Robinson Memorial Hospital, Ravenna, Ohio, Nov. 25, 1962; aged 86 y. 5 m. 25 d. On May 24, 1896, she was married to William J. Christner, who died in April, 1952. Also preceding her in death were 2
daughters and one infant son. Surviving are 4 daughters (Velma-Mrs. Dan Stuckey, Beulah-Mrs. Noah Schrock, Lorene-Mrs. Frank Johnson, and Elvesta-Mrs. Lloyd Grieser), 3 sons (Wade, Floyd, and Rollie), 29 grandchildren, and 62 great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Mennonite Church. Funeral services were conducted at the Plainview Church, Nov. 29, in charge of Eugene Yoder and Elmer Stoltzfus.
