Mrs. Irene D. Fulmer, 88, a resident of Merritt Island, Florida, formerly of Fayetteville, a high school teacher in the Lincoln County School System for 21 years, died Friday (Jan. 29, 1993) at her residence. A native of Nunnely and daughter of the late Bertie Otis Denson and Mary Lou Smitherman Denson, she was a member of the Fayetteville First Baptist Church. Mrs. Fulmer is survived by a son, P. Bryan Fulmer of Merritt Island; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday at Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Emerson Wiles officiating. Interment followed in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Higgins Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
