Former Citizen Dies at Benoit

Greenville, Miss., Jan. 24—T H Johnson of Benoit, public accountant, died of a heart attack at Lobdell Friday night while en route to his home from Beulah.

Mr. Johnson was born at Houston in 1872, the son of Daniel Sidney Johnson, a native of South Carolina. He grew to manhood at Houston and was engaged as cashier in the Chickasaw County Bank of Houston until he moved to Benoit. Mrs. Johnson died several years ago.

He leaves two sons, Thompson Hill, Jr., and William Daniel Johnson, associated with the U S Gypsum Co. Here; a daughter, Mrs. Larry Finn, of Louisville, Ky.; two brothers, Dr. D S Johnson of Jackson, and George Johnson of Dallas, Texas, and a sister, Mrs. J T Carter, of Houston.

Funeral services were held at the Wells Funeral Home Chapel this afternoon at 3 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. John W Young, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church. Burial followed in the Greenville Cemetery.
